I like to pick two or three images to develop to pencils to show a client. This gives us options that can even spark new ideas combining elements from different images. This is a fairly straightforward image, but I liked how it spread across the page and draws the viewer to the text. This first version is just to get basic proportions and set up the composition, making sure that the gutter (the middle blue line, where the book will fold) is free of elements that could get lost in the binding.
